  • Personal Information: Full name, date of birth, gender, email address, phone number (including WhatsApp), home address, and profile photo (optional).
  • Enrollment Information: Course(s) enrolled in, batch/schedule, payment details (transaction ID, payment method), and enrollment date.
  • Academic Information: Attendance records, assignment submissions, project work, quiz/test scores, and course completion status.
  • Communication Data: Records of emails, WhatsApp messages, SMS, and other communications you send to or receive from MIT staff and instructors.
  • Device and Usage Data: When you visit our website, we may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and referring URL. This data is collected via server logs and is not linked to your personal identity unless you are logged in.

We do not collect special categories of sensitive data (such as health, biometric, or financial data beyond payment transaction IDs) unless voluntarily provided by you for specific purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Processing your enrollment and managing your course participation;
  • Communicating with you about schedules, announcements, assignments, and important updates;

  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of MIT, its students, or the public.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

  • Enrollment and academic records: Retained for a minimum of 5 years after course completion for compliance and certification verification purposes.
  • Payment records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years per financial record-keeping requirements in Bangladesh.
  • Marketing preferences: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Website analytics (anonymized): Retained for up to 26 months.

Upon request, we will delete your personal data subject to our legal retention obligations. See Section 6 for your rights.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Correction: Request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian to enroll on your behalf. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
