1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the Markiety IT Institute (hereinafter "MIT", "we", "our", or "us") website and enrolling in any of our programs, you (hereinafter "you", "your", or "the Student") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines referenced herein. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Eligibility
Enrollment in MIT programs is open to individuals who:
- Are at least 16 years of age at the time of enrollment, or provide written parental/guardian consent if under 18;
- Have a genuine interest in learning technology, digital marketing, graphic design, video editing, freelancing, or related skills;
- Possess basic computer literacy and access to a reliable internet connection (for online components);
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
MIT reserves the right to refuse enrollment to any applicant at its sole discretion without obligation to provide a reason.
3. Enrollment and Registration
Enrollment is confirmed only after:
- Submission of a completed admission/application form;
- Payment of the applicable course fee (in full or as per the approved installment plan);
- Receipt of a written enrollment confirmation from MIT.
Each student is assigned a unique enrollment/tracking number upon successful registration. This number must be referenced in all communications with MIT. Enrollment is personal and non-transferable — you may not assign or transfer your enrollment to another person.
4. Fees and Payments
Course fees are displayed on the course listing pages and in the admission form. All fees are quoted in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) unless otherwise stated. MIT reserves the right to modify course fees at any time; changes will not affect students who have already paid in full for the current enrollment.
Payment Methods
MIT accepts payments via bKash, Nagad, Rocket, bank transfer, and cash (at the physical campus). Payment details will be provided at the time of enrollment.
Installment Plans
Where an installment payment plan is offered, the student must adhere strictly to the agreed schedule. Failure to pay any installment by its due date may result in suspension of course access, cancellation of the installment plan, and/or immediate termination of enrollment. A nominal late fee may be charged for delayed installments.
5. Refund Policy
MIT aims to be fair and transparent regarding refunds. The following policy applies:
- Before Course Start: Full refunds are available if cancellation is made at least 7 days before the course commencement date, subject to a processing fee of BDT 500.
- Within 7 Days of Start: A 50% refund of the total course fee is available if cancellation is made within 7 days of the course start date.
- After 7 Days / After 2 Sessions: No refund will be issued after 7 days from the course start date or after the student has attended 2 or more sessions, whichever comes first.
- Program Cancellation by MIT: If MIT cancels a program before it begins, students will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another batch.
- Individual Circumstances: In exceptional circumstances (medical emergency, natural disaster, etc.), students may request a refund review by emailing markietyitinstitute@gmail.com. Each case will be reviewed on its own merits.
Refunds are processed within 15 business days via the original payment method. For the full step-by-step process, see our Refund Policy page.
6. Student Conduct
All students are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. Prohibited behavior includes:
- Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind directed at fellow students, instructors, or MIT staff;
- Sharing course materials, credentials, or platform access with unauthorized persons;
- Submitting another person's work as your own (plagiarism) or assisting others in doing so;
- Using MIT platforms, tools, or networks for illegal, harmful, or malicious purposes;
- Disrupting live sessions, spamming discussion channels, or violating conduct guidelines communicated by instructors.
Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent expulsion from the program without refund.
7. Attendance and Participation
Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions and complete assignments on time. If you need to miss a session:
- Notify the instructor or MIT admin at least 24 hours in advance where possible;
- Request makeup sessions or recorded content access (subject to instructor availability);
- Complete any missed assignments within a reasonable deadline set by the instructor.
Excessive unexplained absences (more than 25% of total sessions) may result in removal from the course roster. MIT is not obligated to provide unlimited makeup sessions or one-to-one catch-up support.
8. Intellectual Property
All course content — including videos, slides, handouts, templates, assignments, and this website — is the exclusive property of Markiety IT Institute and/or its instructors. Students may use these materials for personal learning purposes only. Reproduction, redistribution, resale, or public sharing of MIT course materials without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
Student work created during the course (portfolios, projects, campaigns, designs) belongs to the student, provided it was created independently and does not incorporate MIT's proprietary content beyond what was provided in the course.
9. Certificates and Credentials
Upon successful completion of a course — defined as attending at least 75% of sessions and achieving satisfactory performance on assignments — students will receive a course completion certificate from Markiety IT Institute. Certificates are issued digitally and include:
- The student's full name as registered;
- Course title and completion date;
- Total training hours;
- A unique verification code or QR link for third-party verification.
Certificates may be withheld if the student has outstanding fees, unresolved conduct issues, or did not meet the minimum completion requirements.
10. Privacy and Data Use
MIT collects and processes personal information (name, phone number, email, address, payment details, course progress) solely for the purpose of delivering our educational services. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. By enrolling, you consent to receiving communications regarding your enrollment and relevant announcements. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.
11. Career Support Services
MIT provides career guidance, interview preparation, freelance profile reviews, and job opportunity sharing as part of its programs. These services are offered as reasonable-effort support and do not constitute a guarantee of employment, job placement, or specific income outcomes. MIT accepts no liability for the hiring decisions of third-party employers or clients.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Markiety IT Institute, its founders, instructors, staff, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your enrollment, participation in MIT programs, or use of our website and platforms. MIT makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any course content. Course materials and schedules are subject to change without prior notice.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate the enrollment agreement:
- By Student: By submitting a written cancellation request to markietyitinstitute@gmail.com, subject to the Refund Policy above.
- By MIT: MIT may terminate a student's enrollment immediately, without refund, if the student violates these Terms, engages in unlawful conduct, or fails to pay fees as agreed.
Upon termination, the student's access to MIT platforms, course materials, and community channels will be revoked.
14. Amendments
MIT reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to enrolled students via email or the student portal at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued enrollment after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes arising from or relating to your enrollment at Markiety IT Institute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh.
